Three Rooms. One View. Breakfast Included.
Paddy and Margaret Brennan have been welcoming guests to their home on the Sky Road since 1998. What started as a spare room and a pot of tea has grown into three comfortable guest rooms, each with its own character and all with views that remind you why you came to the west of Ireland.
This is not a hotel. There is no reception desk, no key card, no minibar. There is a front door that is always open, a kitchen that smells of soda bread by 7am, and two people who genuinely enjoy meeting the visitors who find their way to this corner of Connemara.
The house sits halfway along the Sky Road, one of the most scenic drives in Ireland. Clifden town is a ten-minute walk downhill. The Atlantic is close enough to hear on a quiet night.

The Bay Room
Our finest room, with a king-size bed facing floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Clifden Bay. Watch the fishing boats come and go from your pillow. Private en-suite with walk-in shower.

The Garden Room
A quiet retreat overlooking the walled garden and the hills beyond. Comfortable double bed, writing desk by the window, and the sound of nothing but birdsong. Dog-friendly by arrangement.

The Family Room
Our largest room, with a double bed and twin beds for the children. Partial sea views and plenty of space for luggage, toys, and the general chaos of travelling with small people.

The Breakfast
Margaret's full Irish breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am and 10am. Everything is cooked to order. The eggs come from a farm up the road, the soda bread is baked before you wake up, and the preserves are made from fruit picked in our own garden.
- •free-range eggs (scrambled, fried, or poached)
- •local pork sausages
- •dry-cured bacon
- •black and white pudding
- •grilled tomato
- •homemade soda bread
- •Margaret's preserves
- •freshly squeezed orange juice
- •tea and coffee

The Guest Book
“The view from our room stopped us in our tracks. Margaret's breakfast was the best we had in two weeks of touring Ireland.”
“Spotlessly clean, incredibly warm welcome, and that breakfast! The soda bread alone is worth the trip to Clifden.”
“We have stayed in B&Bs all over the west of Ireland. Brennan's is the one we keep coming back to. Three years running now.”
“Perfect base for exploring Connemara. Paddy gave us brilliant tips for the Inishbofin ferry and a beach nobody else knows about.”
